# Ultimate Rugby vs SuperLeague+

The clearest difference is rating: SuperLeague+ at 4.7 against Ultimate Rugby's 2.9. SuperLeague+ also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). Ultimate Rugby's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (102 vs 29). On price, review sentiment and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ultimate Rugby sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. SuperLeague+ asks for nothing beyond the download.

SuperLeague+ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 102 and 29 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Ultimate Rugby's written reviews are positive against 38% of SuperLeague+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ultimate Rugby ships an update every 3 weeks, SuperLeague+ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
