# Inter Mountain vs WVNews

The clearest difference is rating: WVNews at 3.9 against Inter Mountain's 3.0. WVNews also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 61 months) and ratings volume (22 vs 2). Inter Mountain's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WVNews sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Inter Mountain asks for nothing beyond the download.

WVNews holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WVNews has 22 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Inter Mountain's written reviews are positive against 50% of WVNews's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Inter Mountain ships an update every 61 months, WVNews every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
