# X vs Plane Escape Flight Simulator

The clearest difference is rating: X at 4.0 against Plane Escape Flight Simulator's 3.0. X also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months). Plane Escape Flight Simulator's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and review sentiment (67% vs 58%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. X sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Plane Escape Flight Simulator asks for nothing beyond the download.

X holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: X has 25K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of X's written reviews are positive against 67% of Plane Escape Flight Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

X ships an update fortnightly, Plane Escape Flight Simulator every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
