# BluOS Controller vs Split Music Player

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Split Music Player at 100% against BluOS Controller's 39%. BluOS Controller's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 1.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BluOS Controller holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BluOS Controller has 5.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of BluOS Controller's written reviews are positive against 100% of Split Music Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BluOS Controller ships an update monthly, Split Music Player every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
