# CampusGroups vs Lion Safe

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lion Safe at 100% against CampusGroups's 12%. CampusGroups's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 41 months) and rating (4.4 vs 4.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CampusGroups holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CampusGroups has 5.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of CampusGroups's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lion Safe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CampusGroups ships an update every 3 weeks, Lion Safe every 41 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
