# CampusGroups vs MyUW

The clearest difference is rating: CampusGroups at 4.4 against MyUW's 2.5. CampusGroups also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 38 months) and ratings volume (5.3K vs 43). MyUW's advantage is iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CampusGroups holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CampusGroups has 5.3K ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of CampusGroups's written reviews are positive against 20% of MyUW's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CampusGroups ships an update every 3 weeks, MyUW every 38 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
