# EE vs ENERGIZER SMART

EE and ENERGIZER SMART both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 40% of ENERGIZER SMART's written reviews are positive against 10% of EE's. ENERGIZER SMART also leads on iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.1). EE's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 388). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ENERGIZER SMART holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EE has 2.1K ratings behind it against 388, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 10% of EE's written reviews are positive against 40% of ENERGIZER SMART's.

EE ships an update fortnightly, ENERGIZER SMART every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
