# EE vs Lyca Mobile UK

The clearest difference is rating: EE at 4.5 against Lyca Mobile UK's 1.6. EE also leads on ratings volume (2.1K vs 17). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EE holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EE has 2.1K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of EE's written reviews are positive against 13% of Lyca Mobile UK's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EE ships an update fortnightly, Lyca Mobile UK every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
