# EE vs Ecotricity App

The clearest difference is rating: EE at 4.5 against Ecotricity App's 1.0. EE also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EE holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EE has 2.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 10% and 10% positive.

EE ships an update fortnightly, Ecotricity App every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
