# Elemental Flash Cards vs Elementium

The clearest difference is rating: Elementium at 4.6 against Elemental Flash Cards's 4.0. Elementium also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (576 vs 1). Elemental Flash Cards's advantage is iOS requirement (9.3 vs 16.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elemental Flash Cards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Elementium sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Elementium holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elementium has 576 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Elemental Flash Cards's written reviews are positive against 75% of Elementium's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Elemental Flash Cards ships an update every 16 months, Elementium every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
