# Password Manager vs Bitwarden Password Manager

The clearest difference is price: Bitwarden Password Manager at Free against Password Manager's $5.99. Bitwarden Password Manager also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and chart position (#136 vs unranked). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Bitwarden Password Manager is free to download; Password Manager costs $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bitwarden Password Manager has 35K ratings behind it against 6.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 67% of Bitwarden Password Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
