# Clef Cards vs Sight Singing Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: Clef Cards at free with in-app purchases against Sight Singing Pro's subscription. Clef Cards also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.6). Sight Singing Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clef Cards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Sight Singing Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sight Singing Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sight Singing Pro has 189 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 88% and 88% positive.

Clef Cards ships an update every 6 months, Sight Singing Pro every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
