# Clef Cards vs Clefs

The clearest difference is rating: Clefs at 5.0 against Clef Cards's 4.5. Clefs also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months). Clef Cards's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 2) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clef Cards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Clefs sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Clefs holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clef Cards has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Clef Cards ships an update every 6 months, Clefs weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
