# Duolingo vs Learn Spanish with AI

The clearest difference is rating: Duolingo at 4.7 against Learn Spanish with AI's 3.9. Duolingo also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (5.6M vs 17). Learn Spanish with AI's advantage is ads (none vs shown). Both are free to download. Duolingo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Learn Spanish with AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
