# Duolingo vs Quazzl AI

The clearest difference is ads: Quazzl AI at none against Duolingo's shown. Quazzl AI also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.0). Duolingo's advantage is ratings volume (5.5M vs 95) and chart position (#1 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Duolingo sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Quazzl AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Duolingo against 4.7 for Quazzl AI. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Duolingo has 5.5M ratings behind it against 95, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 65% of Duolingo's written reviews are positive against 60% of Quazzl AI's.

Duolingo ships an update every 5 days, Quazzl AI every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
