# Scrawler I vs Notepad

The clearest difference is rating: Notepad at 5.0 against Scrawler I's 3.9. Scrawler I's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notepad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Scrawler I asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notepad holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Scrawler I's written reviews are positive against 54% of Notepad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
