# Palm Reader vs Palm Reader

The clearest difference is rating: Palm Reader at 4.2 against Palm Reader's 2.2. Palm Reader also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (582 vs 6). Palm Reader's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palm Reader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Palm Reader asks for nothing beyond the download.

Palm Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Palm Reader has 582 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Palm Reader's written reviews are positive against 26% of Palm Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Palm Reader ships an update every 16 months, Palm Reader every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
