# Yesterday Lite vs The Sign

The clearest difference is rating: The Sign at 4.6 against Yesterday Lite's 4.0. The Sign also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 40). Yesterday Lite's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.2). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yesterday Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and The Sign sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Sign holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Sign has 1.5K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of Yesterday Lite's written reviews are positive against 84% of The Sign's.

Yesterday Lite ships an update every 12 months, The Sign every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
