# giffgaff vs PerchPeek

The clearest difference is rating: giffgaff at 4.5 against PerchPeek's 3.3. giffgaff also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 12). PerchPeek's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 28%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

giffgaff holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: giffgaff has 1K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of giffgaff's written reviews are positive against 50% of PerchPeek's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
