# Woot vs The Freebie Guy

Woot and The Freebie Guy both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of The Freebie Guy's written reviews are positive against 28% of Woot's. The Freebie Guy also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Woot's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (96K vs 42). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Woot against 4.9 for The Freebie Guy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Woot has 96K ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two.
