# Planner Pro vs Planner for iPad

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Planner Pro at 13K against Planner for iPad's 501. Planner Pro also leads on device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Planner Pro sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Planner for iPad sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Planner Pro against 4.5 for Planner for iPad. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planner Pro has 13K ratings behind it against 501, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 76% of Planner Pro's written reviews are positive against 71% of Planner for iPad's.

Planner Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, Planner for iPad every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
