# Planner Pro vs Event Planner

The clearest difference is ads: Event Planner at none against Planner Pro's shown. Event Planner also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Planner Pro's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 28). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Planner Pro sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Event Planner sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Planner Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planner Pro has 13K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 76% and 76% positive.

Planner Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, Event Planner weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
