# pdfFiller vs PDF Editor

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PDF Editor at 69% against pdfFiller's 20%. PDF Editor also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4). pdfFiller's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (8.5K vs 513). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. pdfFiller sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and PDF Editor sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Editor holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: pdfFiller has 8.5K ratings behind it against 513, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of pdfFiller's written reviews are positive against 69% of PDF Editor's.

pdfFiller ships an update fortnightly, PDF Editor every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
