# pdfFiller vs eSign

The clearest difference is review sentiment: eSign at 60% against pdfFiller's 20%. eSign also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5). pdfFiller's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (9.2K vs 147). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. pdfFiller sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and eSign sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

eSign holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: pdfFiller has 9.2K ratings behind it against 147, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of pdfFiller's written reviews are positive against 60% of eSign's.

pdfFiller ships an update fortnightly, eSign every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
