# Alpha FM vs Dumont FM

The clearest difference is rating: Dumont FM at 5.0 against Alpha FM's 3.2. Dumont FM also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months). Alpha FM's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dumont FM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alpha FM has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Alpha FM's written reviews are positive against 29% of Dumont FM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alpha FM ships an update every 7 months, Dumont FM monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
