# Area vs Calculator Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Area at 100% against Calculator Pro's 50%. Area also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.6). Calculator Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 35 months) and price ($6.99 vs $9.99). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Area costs $9.99 and Calculator Pro $6.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
