# MPDX vs Nereus

The clearest difference is rating: Nereus at 5.0 against MPDX's 2.9. MPDX's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (41 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nereus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MPDX has 41 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MPDX ships an update fortnightly, Nereus every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
