# Nitrox Buddy vs Pro Dive

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pro Dive at every 5 weeks against Nitrox Buddy's every 7 months. Pro Dive also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nitrox Buddy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pro Dive sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nitrox Buddy ships an update every 7 months, Pro Dive every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
