# Nitrox Buddy vs DIVEROUT

The clearest difference is rating: Nitrox Buddy at 4.9 against DIVEROUT's 3.7. Nitrox Buddy also leads on review sentiment (96% vs 66%) and ratings volume (468 vs 24). DIVEROUT's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 7 months) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nitrox Buddy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DIVEROUT sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nitrox Buddy holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nitrox Buddy has 468 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 96% of Nitrox Buddy's written reviews are positive against 66% of DIVEROUT's.

Nitrox Buddy ships an update every 7 months, DIVEROUT weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
