# Nuts & Volts Magazine vs Digital Electronics+

The clearest difference is update cadence: Digital Electronics+ at every 6 months against Nuts & Volts Magazine's every 12 months. Nuts & Volts Magazine's advantage is iOS requirement (10.2 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nuts & Volts Magazine sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and Digital Electronics+ sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
