# FlightStats vs ClimaTrip

The clearest difference is ads: ClimaTrip at none against FlightStats's shown. ClimaTrip also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). FlightStats's advantage is ratings volume (79K vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ClimaTrip holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlightStats has 79K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FlightStats ships an update every 2 months, ClimaTrip weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
