# F vs Lionic Mobile Security

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lionic Mobile Security at 100% against F's 42%. Lionic Mobile Security also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). F's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (monthly vs every 12 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. F sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Lionic Mobile Security sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

F holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: F has 504 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of F's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lionic Mobile Security's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

F ships an update monthly, Lionic Mobile Security every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
