# F vs i9VPN

The clearest difference is ads: F at none against i9VPN's shown. i9VPN's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 weeks). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. F sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and i9VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

i9VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 499 and 194 respectively.

F ships an update every 4 weeks, i9VPN every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
