# F vs Avira Mobile Security

F and Avira Mobile Security both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of Avira Mobile Security's written reviews are positive against 42% of F's. Avira Mobile Security also leads on ratings volume (4.7K vs 498) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. F sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Avira Mobile Security sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

F holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avira Mobile Security has 4.7K ratings behind it against 498, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of F's written reviews are positive against 67% of Avira Mobile Security's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

F ships an update every 4 weeks, Avira Mobile Security monthly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
