# Harz vs BahnBonus

The clearest difference is rating: Harz at 5.0 against BahnBonus's 4.5. Harz also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). BahnBonus's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 38%) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Harz holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BahnBonus has 247 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Harz's written reviews are positive against 75% of BahnBonus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Harz ships an update every 7 months, BahnBonus every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
