# Tring vs Squares Word

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tring at free against Squares Word's free with in-app purchases. Tring also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). Squares Word's advantage is device support. On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tring sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Squares Word sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
