# VideoShop vs VidMix Video Editor

The clearest difference is rating: VidMix Video Editor at 4.4 against VideoShop's 3.5. VidMix Video Editor also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (70% vs 39%). VideoShop's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VideoShop sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and VidMix Video Editor sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VidMix Video Editor holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VidMix Video Editor has 424 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two.
