# DanceComp vs CREATIVATE

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DanceComp at 71% against CREATIVATE's 18%. DanceComp also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.0). CREATIVATE's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.4 vs 4.1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CREATIVATE sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. DanceComp asks for nothing beyond the download.

CREATIVATE holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CREATIVATE has 405 ratings behind it against 60, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of DanceComp's written reviews are positive against 18% of CREATIVATE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DanceComp ships an update every 3 months, CREATIVATE every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
