# ezOutlet vs Amcrest Cloud

The clearest difference is rating: Amcrest Cloud at 4.2 against ezOutlet's 2.4. Amcrest Cloud also leads on ratings volume (5.9K vs 8). ezOutlet's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and review sentiment (44% vs 20%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Amcrest Cloud holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amcrest Cloud has 5.9K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of ezOutlet's written reviews are positive against 20% of Amcrest Cloud's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ezOutlet ships an update every 2 months, Amcrest Cloud every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
