# Ultimate Gamepad vs BLE Joystick

The clearest difference is rating: BLE Joystick at 3.0 against Ultimate Gamepad's 2.7. Ultimate Gamepad's advantage is update cadence (every 23 months vs every 63 months) and ratings volume (86 vs 12). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BLE Joystick holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ultimate Gamepad has 86 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Ultimate Gamepad's written reviews are positive against 33% of BLE Joystick's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ultimate Gamepad ships an update every 23 months, BLE Joystick every 63 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
