# Al Mayadeen vs OTV

The clearest difference is rating: Al Mayadeen at 4.1 against OTV's 3.7. Al Mayadeen also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Al Mayadeen holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 138 and 88 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Al Mayadeen's written reviews are positive against 45% of OTV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Al Mayadeen ships an update every 5 weeks, OTV every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
