# CellGate Mobile Connect vs AthleteRated

The clearest difference is rating: AthleteRated at 3.0 against CellGate Mobile Connect's 1.9. AthleteRated also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). CellGate Mobile Connect's advantage is ratings volume (453 vs 6) and review sentiment (10% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AthleteRated holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CellGate Mobile Connect has 453 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of CellGate Mobile Connect's written reviews are positive against 0% of AthleteRated's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
