# HISTORY vs TheEventGuide.com

The clearest difference is update cadence: HISTORY at every 4 weeks against TheEventGuide.com's every 31 months. HISTORY also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 3) and device support (3 vs 1). TheEventGuide.com's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TheEventGuide.com holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HISTORY has 1.8K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HISTORY ships an update every 4 weeks, TheEventGuide.com every 31 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
