# HISTORY vs SeraphIRC

The clearest difference is price: HISTORY at Free against SeraphIRC's $3.99. HISTORY also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 3). SeraphIRC's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

HISTORY is free to download; SeraphIRC costs $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SeraphIRC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HISTORY has 1.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HISTORY ships an update every 4 weeks, SeraphIRC weekly. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
