# StairBuilderPro vs SnapPlan

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StairBuilderPro at 56% against SnapPlan's 0%. StairBuilderPro also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.0). SnapPlan's advantage is price (Free vs $4.99) and rating (4.4 vs 3.2). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

SnapPlan is free to download; StairBuilderPro costs $4.99 up front. SnapPlan sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. StairBuilderPro asks for nothing beyond the download.

SnapPlan holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SnapPlan has 42 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of StairBuilderPro's written reviews are positive against 0% of SnapPlan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

StairBuilderPro ships an update every 8 months, SnapPlan fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
