# Calculator Plus #1 vs Calculator 4.0

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Calculator Plus #1 at 5.1K against Calculator 4.0's 54. Calculator 4.0's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator Plus #1 sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Calculator 4.0 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Calculator Plus #1 against 4.8 for Calculator 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator Plus #1 has 5.1K ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Calculator Plus #1 ships an update every 5 weeks, Calculator 4.0 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
