# Countdown Star vs Christmas Countdown Tracker

The clearest difference is update cadence: Countdown Star at fortnightly against Christmas Countdown Tracker's every 13 months. Countdown Star also leads on ratings volume (216K vs 1) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Christmas Countdown Tracker's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Star sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Christmas Countdown Tracker sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
