# InstaSize vs Profile Picture Maker App

The clearest difference is rating: InstaSize at 4.7 against Profile Picture Maker App's 2.7. InstaSize also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months). Profile Picture Maker App's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 58%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InstaSize sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Profile Picture Maker App sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InstaSize holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InstaSize has 327K ratings behind it against 177, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of InstaSize's written reviews are positive against 70% of Profile Picture Maker App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InstaSize ships an update every 10 days, Profile Picture Maker App every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
