# InstaSize vs Image Compressor+

The clearest difference is ads: InstaSize at none against Image Compressor+'s shown. InstaSize also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 10 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InstaSize sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Image Compressor+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InstaSize holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InstaSize has 326K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

InstaSize ships an update every 10 days, Image Compressor+ every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
