# CB vs TruckChat

The clearest difference is rating: TruckChat at 5.0 against CB's 2.3. TruckChat also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). CB's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CB sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months. TruckChat asks for nothing beyond the download.

TruckChat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CB has 64 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of CB's written reviews are positive against 33% of TruckChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CB ships an update fortnightly, TruckChat every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
